Meet Larry Algiene, LPC
Larry Algiene is a Licensed Professional Counselor and founder of Animo Therapy, a practice built on one core belief: real growth requires courage. As a 50-year-old Mexican American counselor, Larry understands the cultural, generational, and personal pressures that many men carry silently. His passion is helping men and boys — especially teenagers and young adults — develop emotional strength, overcome trauma, and become the healthiest version of themselves.
Many men are taught to suppress emotions, push through pain, or handle life alone. But lasting change takes courage — the courage to confront what hurts, break unhealthy patterns, and build a better future. Larry provides a supportive but direct environment where clients can be honest about their struggles while gaining practical tools to move forward.
Larry works with teen boys, young men, adult men navigating life transitions, couples seeking healing, and families working through conflict. His approach combines evidence-based therapies with real-world practicality, focusing on emotional resilience, healthy identity development, accountability with compassion, and restoring stronger family relationships.

At Animo Therapy, the goal isn’t just to talk about problems — it’s to build the skills and confidence needed to overcome them.
